AriasIS Launches the Master Data Institute; Seeking Partners
AriasIS is seeking partners to help create a link between the general IT data community and our high school and trade communities for the purposes of training the next generation of data workers. According to Ray Arias, President, of AriasIS, “We are too quick to outsource when it comes to finding talent to fill the many areas of data services required to run business and government. We need to create a career path to train our own children for these roles”. While it is true that this requires specific skill sets, a student does not always need to begin in college. If high schools taught young people how to use spreadsheets with a business perspective it would be a good start. Business and schools interested in learning more about the MDI concept and training the next generation of data workers should contact Ray Arias.

AriasIS wins State of Illinois Department of Revenue ERP Contract
In early 2007, working with Fast Enterprises AriasIS was awarded the MBE portion of the multi-million dollar state contract to consolidate the IDOR operations from 43 applications to one (1). No small feat but very worthy of a data services company like AriasIS. According to Scott Miller, Fast Enterprises' Project Coordinator, AriasIS brings the right level of expertise and skills to assure success in this very important State of Illinois endeavor.

Ray Arias Appointed Co-Chair of IHCC Technology Committee
The Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce created the Technology and Management Committee to foster coopetition between the technology and management companies that are members of the Chamber. According to IHCC COO, Roberto Cornelio, "there is no good reason that our Hispanic Tech companies should not be part of the enormous technology movement in Illinois. The committee is created to provide a forum for our member companies to find opportunities. Our goal is to create a very large firm [in terms of $$MM], technology company that could rival large national firms. I know that Ray would be a excellent leader in this mission."

AriasIS Awarded Best Small IT Shop in Midwest by MBDA
Arias Information Solutions, LLC wins 2006 Department of Commerce award for best Small Business IT shop in the 16 state Midwest region. Awarded by the Minority Business Development Agency, Ray Arias accepted the awarded at a crowded Chicago venue along with other small business awardees from other categories. The award was made to recognize the entrepreneurial spirit and success for local business in the highly competitive area of Information Technology. According to Ray Arias, president, “We are deeply honored to earn this award in a competitive arena such as Chicago. It goes to show that if small companies can offer solid performance and deliver the results customers expect, anything can be possible”.
